The forged alloy steel head is case hardened and then tempered to reduce the striking face hardness to 30–35 HRC. This controlled softness allows the head to mushroom upon impact with harder materials, significantly reducing the risk of damaging the workpiece a major advantage over conventional hardened-face sledge hammers. It’s the ideal tool for striking softer or delicate materials where a traditional hammer could cause serious damage or failure.

Attached securely to a 36″ double-injected fiberglass handle, the hammer offers exceptional strength and resistance to wear, shock, and overstrike damage. The dual-textured rubber grip is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable and slip-resistant hold in both single- and two-handed positions, while also helping to dampen vibrations during repeated use.

An extra-thick section below the head adds overstrike protection, absorbing impact from missed strikes and protecting the handle from premature wear.
